The next four days are pretty jam-packed with stuff, and Thursday is the first day of that. LIKE BATS has come around a couple of times to Connecticut by way of Indianapolis, IN. Their material is pretty similar to Dear Landlord and other bands in that vein of really simple, really fun pop punk. It's a little more rugged than their closest comparisons however, and they explore some different arrangements of the heavily traveled patterns of the genre, especially on their most recent release Look on the Bright Side, which is a 7" EP released off of Traffic Street Records. The EP's been streaming off of Punknews for a little while.

This show is more or less stacked with the most active pop punk names in Connecticut right now, including DEADLIGHTS (who just released a split with Don't Say I Won't off New Haven's Audubon Records) and FIRE FIRST. Thursday is also one of the first shows BABY GRAND (members of Jettison, Cold Snap) has played in a while, and their performance is more anticipated after their recent release of No Pardons (download here), a follow-up EP to their cassette released off of Hot Air Press last year. Joining them will also be MUTE WITNESS, the hardest folks in town/on the bill and New York's CALIFORNIA.

It's safe to say that if you like one band on Thursday's show, you'll like the rest of them.
