This is to tell you that July's shows are up. Still working on updating all of the links, but they are listed on the right hand sidebar.

Last Tuesday, Anthony Fantano published the interview with me that aired on WNPR that Saturday via his absurdly multimedia podcast, video blog and site The Needle Drop. You can listen to me blather about the local scene and introduce two new tracks from Hostage Calm and Fugue right here (I come in around the 20 minute mark).

And here is Inkwell at Warped Tour! Thank you Mark. Look how buff it looks. (Trivia: Is that Mark or Andy's hand?)

Will be posting some more stuff soon.

• CHEWING ON TINFOIL will be arriving on our coast from Dublin this October, and are looking to fill out their two week tour. LET'S SHOW THEM THE AMERICAN WAY. Ska/punk, on Quote Unquote Records.

Discuss here. Contact them here. Listen to them here.

• SPACE GHOST COWBOYS will be finishing up their newest release, Porcupine, this weekend. In promotion of the release and probably their first semester as free alumni from SUNY Purchase, they are booking their fall tour. Any east coast dates would be helpful.Would fit well on any rowdy folk bill.

  Listen/contact here.

• HUMAN RUIN from Boston are looking to book some dates in Connecticut over the next couple of months. If you need to fill out a show with an out-of-state hardcore band, get in touch with them.

  Discuss here. Contact/listen here

• Long Island's SHOT NOT are looking to fill a Connecticut date before a Brooklyn show on Saturday, July 24th. Bright pop punk.

Discuss here. Contact them here. Listen to them here.

Two acts affiliated with the Run for Cover roster-- BALANCE & COMPOSURE and MAN OVERBOARD-- are also playing, which is notable considering Tigers Jaw, another RFC band, has seemingly dropped off of every local show they've been placed on in Connecticut since their last show at the Legion. Balance & Composure just released an incredible split with Tigers Jaw, actually. Their side is really strong, carrying a lot of the same poppier elements in the rest of this show's bill, but with a darker undertone to some of their stuff that reminds me a little of Brand New.

Listen to 'Twenty Four' off the split.
